    I WAS OVERCHARGED $250.00 FOR LEAK DETECTION SERVICES. I WAS CHARGED $250.00/ HOUR FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1O MINUTES OF LABOR PAST THE FIRST HOUR. When Jerrod quoted me the final billing, he stated he called the Tribeca Plumbing office to review the billing and was told he could not bill for a portion of an hour, even though the amount of time past the first hour was only 10 minutes. Jerrod advised ‘he had tried’. My concerns are… *Why was I not told the labor rate was $250.00/ hour? *Why was there NO consideration for the time spent (?) … 1.Chatting about possum and other vermin that are sometimes discovered in crawl spaces. Jerrod added how possums make good pets. 2.Observing Jerrod’s failed attempt to sister a piece of 2x4 framing to an existing wall stub (to re-attach the drywall removed from a section of the wall). I suggested he use duct tape since I was going to have a drywaller do the drywall and painting repairs. Jerrod stated he did not have any duct tape, so I supplied the duct tape to secure the drywall. Had I been told the labor rate was $250.00/ hour for each additional hour, I would have made sure the Tribeca inspection proceeded timely. I feel $625.00 is an overcharge. Regards, Guy Sledge

    Be aware that if they don’t have the parts needed for the job, you will be charged while they go to the store to buy them. For 52 minutes no one was inside my condo doing work, and I was still charged $250/hr while waiting for one tech to return from the store and the other sat in the van. I asked at the beginning if rescheduling would be better, but they declined. They also start the clock as soon as they pull up and not when the work begins. The water was turned off and work began about 30 minutes after their arrival time. For such a high hourly rate, I expected them to be a little more diligent. My main reason for the low rating is their lack of customer service and communication. I was told different things by different people multiple times regarding pricing and quotes. The office staff has also made false and confusing statements to me and has not addressed it or apologized when I called it out. Their team also left a large chunk of drywall and other debris in one of my bedrooms where no plumbing work was done, and again when I mentioned this, it was totally ignored. Yet in the same email, I said they could charge my card on file and they quickly acted on that… Edit: Thanks for the response, but did you even read my review? Some things I said are STILL unaddressed, which is the point I’ve been trying to make.

    Jay was excellent! I needed a quick repair to replace the valves for the washing machine before the new one could be installed in my daughter’s new home. She was moving in that week so it was important to get it done quickly. Jay came out right away and replaced the valves, but he didn’t stop there. He also installed the washing machine we had that was dropped off in the garage and then fixed a leak in the tub that we had gotten much larger quote for. He worked quickly so we got it all done in less than an hour and 15 minutes.

    The leak in question has been active since just before October 18, 2023, and as such, it was not treated as an emergency. Our maintenance personnel guided your technician to the affected building, which we had already identified due to the high-water bill associated with it. While I did not initiate a follow-up call, I did have a few conversations with Alan when he called me. Our regional manager also reached out to Alan, offering a fee of $175 for the service call and the technician's brief visit. Unfortunately, this offer was declined. Our request was specifically for a bid on the leak detection, not for a bill. As such, no fees were discussed at any point. Furthermore, I did not indicate that I would reach out to tenants regarding this matter, as the hiring of contractors is handled by our regional manager and at the time of your visit, we were in the process of gathering bids from various plumbing companies, and yours was the second company we had contacted. Attached to this review, you will find the first bid we received from One Source Plumbing. Their team conducted a site visit, accompanied by our maintenance staff, and provided a bid for leak detection services. This aligns with our original request when we first contacted your company - we were seeking a bid for leak detection, not “confirmation of a leak”. The attached document, dated December 7, 2023, indicates that we had already identified the issue and provided your technician with this information. Given this, we are unclear about the nature of the $475 fee on your invoice, as it appears no additional work was performed.

    If I could give seven stars, I would. Jay from Tribeca blew us away with his knowledge and professionalism and careful attention to detail and customer service. He turned a difficult hydrostatic pressure test into a dream experience, and we are beyond appreciative of how easy he made the job seem. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!!!
